Drawing on nursing perspectives and engineering methods, I study how mental health experiences such as depression, anxiety, and distress manifest differently across individuals’ behaviors, physiological responses, emotional experiences, and life contexts. Rather than reducing these experiences to single, uniform phenomena, I aim to understand their structures and variations through theory-driven questions. To this end, I use digital technologies and data to make less visible experiences more understandable, with the goal of designing digital healthcare systems that better respond to individual differences. At a broader level, I hope to contribute to more precise and human-centered decision-making in healthcare through this work.

저는 간호학적 관점과 공학적 방법론을 바탕으로, 우울, 불안, 고통과 같은 정신건강의 경험이 개인의 행동, 생리적 반응, 정서적 경험, 생활 맥락 속에서 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지 연구합니다. 특히 이러한 경험을 단일한 현상으로 단순화하기보다, 이론 기반의 질문을 통해 그 구성과 차이를 더 정교하게 이해하고자 합니다. 이를 위해 디지털 기술과 데이터를 활용하여 쉽게 포착되지 않는 경험을 이해 가능한 형태로 구조화하며, 궁극적으로는 개인의 차이에 더 잘 반응하는 디지털 헬스케어 시스템을 설계하는 데 관심이 있습니다. 더 넓은 층위에서는, 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 더 정밀하고 인간 중심적인 헬스케어 의사결정에 기여하고 싶습니다.
